Probably the most important part of a profiling system is its software. The software allows process data to be captured, stored, organised and analysed to determine the current process state.
Modern profiling software offers much more than this though, incorporating sophisticated process recipe search engines which allow a process to be optimised for maximum quality and throughput. SPC tools allow engineers to track process stability and warn when corrective action needs to be taken

Frequently asked questions
No, one datalogger can be shared and used across different lines and processes. For example, you can use a single datalogger to capture data from reflow, wave and vapor phase processes from separate Reflow, Wave and Vapor Shuttles. No setup is required by the user.
Absolutely they can and without any specific training.
Using a process shuttle with the SLX logger, an operator can capture data from the process with zero setup required:
Simply dock the logger onto the shuttle, power up and start recording with x2 button presses.
At the end of the run, stop recording with a x1 button press and remove the datalogger.
With Process Central software running, connect the datalogger and click to download.
In addition to standard Temperature, Vibration and Line Speed, Vaccuum and Oxygen parameters can also be measured in a single pass at full process heat.
Solderstar offers process specific shuttles which are robust instrumented fixtures specifically designed to allow important parameters from the process to be periodically measured and maintained.
